Providing Premium Mumble Servers since 2008!
Mumble is an Open Source alternative for VoIP communication. It's geared towards gaming, but it could be used for all kinds of things. The client is free, and available for a few different platforms including Windows, Linux and MacOSX.
The server's free software too, and if you're feeling brave and you have a machine with a good internet connection to run it from, you can set one up yourself. If you don't, or you don't want the bother of setting one up, you can pay us to run one for you!
Mumble uses the Speex and CELT voice codecs, which is technical jargon for stereo-quality voice communications. At higher bitrates, you could stream music over Mumble and most people couldn't tell the diference.
There's also a great Overlay for games, similar to the one built into Steam. You can set it up to be semi-translucent, so you can see who's talking to you without it getting completely in the way of your gaming.
Go ahead and download the Mumble Client, and then head on over to one of our test servers and give it a shot.
MumbleDog and Sabrienix are the same people, on the same servers. Since Mumble's become rather core to our company, we started a brand based solely around it. If you have a Sabrienix Murmur, you have a MumbleDog. If you had a Sabrienix Murmur and hated it for some reason, don't buy from us - it's the same stuff. Instead, please contact us and let us know what you hated so we can fix it. More information can be found on our About page.
